I find myself cheering Kyoko on, she's not the typical shojo-manga heroine so it's a nice change, so she's that much more likable!

i know wat you mean! -_- me too...the mangaka did such a good job of making sho dislikable, but then all of a sudden she turns things around and makes you pity the guy somehow! ahhh...i was quite frustrated! but it goes to show her ability to create characters! there are a lot of questions i have that are not being answered yet, but i'm patiently waiting...well, anxiously waiting to see how the story will progress...*sigh* :D skip beat is just awesome!

I am so hot and cold with this manga. Like when I first read it I was so fustrated I didn't know why. Maybe I thought Kyoko was too extreme? but then I read it again and found the beauty in her character and now I love it. I especially love how Ren's manager keeps trying to put them in love love situations and get confessions out of them. But it never works.

I know what people mean about the Sho thing. Don't get me wrong I still think he's worthless but I don't feel like hatred towards him anymore. I'm kind of like "Just get out of the picture so Ren and Kyoko can get together..." I feel like Skip Beat is going to get more intense...I'm excited.

And I'm trying to find chpt 120 so if anyone can give me a heads up I'd appreciate it.

Did you try right-clicking on the image and then Save Image As...? Sometimes they don't lock right-clicking.

Skip Beat is one of my current favorite manga right now! I'm definitely a Ren fan, especially with the latest chapters. I just hope Sho doesn't screw things up for Kyoko, and I hope that we find out something about Kyoko's family sometime soon. This waiting is killing me! LOL!

i think mari ends up staying with her dad during the rest of the party, kyoko gets her birthday cake/present and they end singing happy birthday...i think that part ren reminds her about is just a flash back cause kyoko is upset about being late

I want to know who Kyoko's father is, we only know that her mother was cold towards her and not a nice mother at all... but what do we know about her father? Nothing, nothing at all, and where is her mother now? All this questions and so little answers! I want more! More!

Ahh it's great to see a thread about Skip Beat! I got into this manga when my son bought me #1 for mother's day last year and I have been keeping track of it online for awhile and buy them as they come out. I have up to volume 12 and have 13 & 14 on preorder. My son likes to read it also but sometimes he gets confused and I have to explain it... I like just about everything with this manga. There isn't really anything to not like that I can think of the drawings are awsome. The story line grabs at ya and draws you in. What I would find interesting is if they ever make it into an anime. Do you think they could ever keep true to the manga or totally chop it up?

I love how Moko's present seemed to outshine Ren's present. All I can think of is how poor Moko had to go around to hunt that embarressing set down. In chapter 120

Yet even better I love how Ren tricks her with the story and how he hid that jewel in the middle of the rose. She's such a sucker for those stories. I can't wait for 123!

Let me know if you guys see 123 out yet.

I've seen this manga recommended so many times and still postponed reading it. However, Monday I finally took a deep breath and read the first chapter. As all of you know, it was sooooo yummy and had such an unexpected development, that I couldn't stop myself from devouring the following, ummm, 122 chapters. I must say, I'm in awe of the way in which Kyoko and Ren are drawn, it's like watching an anime, all their emotions are right there, on paper, and everything looks perfectly dynamic.
I can't contain myself from rolling on the floor laughing when Kyoko's little "helpers" appear. And then, from bowing my head in respect to her gorgeous dignified appearance (hoping it will come out more and more often as it should be a sign of her drawing closer to her "perfect actress" goal). With regard to the 123rd chapter: Phew, she finally realised how to play the Natsu role. Can't wait to see the actual performance. I wonder whether it comes close to how she interpreted Mio. I hope it's better, and by that I mean totally different (I trust the mangaka's originality;))

as embarissing as it is to say this... im such a dork that i tired to see if i could use the little "helpers" that kyoko has, haha o such luck....in regards to chapter 121: omg what was with tha vase... and the name of that flower?!?! hahahaha i feel sorry for that poor flower, if it had feelings it wouldnt be happy with kyoko lol

Skip Beat is my very firs manga to hold in hands. Friend gave it to me for my birthday. I bought it till volume10, but in german.But they need time and I am not patent so it's great to be able to read the story in English.
Kyoko surprises me every minute. And the story -there is no way predicting what is going to happen next....

I really liked this manga because of Kyoko's personality, the way the mangaka balances her more innocent, carefree side with her dark side. I've also revised my opinion of acting because of this manga, and started watching Japanese dramas as a result, so that's a plus, too. I love the process of Kyoko interpreting, then portraying all the different roles she's had so far.

That, and she can be soooo adorable sometimes!

On a side note, I find it really interesting that the mangaka went out of her way to make us dislike Sho even before the start of the manga by telling us that he had a bad character ...

(I think it kind of made me determined to like him no matter what)

I'm really looking forward to more chapters!

Yay finally some Skip Beat fans!! and i can discuss w/ ya hihi
Yeah, i also love SB, i started from pure curiosity reading the manga and found miself unable to stop, i love the art and the story!

The fact that Mogami is so special and that we meet so many interesting characters...bt more, i like that fact that i get to learn more about 'behinde secens' of movie stars, all their work they have to go through, the way to built ur character and how u learn to understand it and play it, it's really amazing. Also there are some awesome bishounen that deserves being seen [only thinking about 'em makes me drool *laughs*]

But i hate the fact that the manga is progressing so slow >.< i wanna find more about the relationships between the chara >_<

Anyway, it's the best manga i read from the shoujo genre XD
