has anyone played devil may cry 4 yet. imthinking of buying it with a ps3 just for the game but i wondering if i get a ps 3 without a hd tv will it look really poor? or will it still look better than just playiong my ps 2 on my regular tv.anyone had this delimia

Well I did try playing with my ps3 on a non-HD TV and truthfully, I don't think you'll see a difference :-k
Right now, the quality of PS3 games is somewhat poor. At least in all the games I've played, they could have easily been made for the ps2 so that's disappointing but the fault lies with the console and games mostly and not the choice of TV :)
If you want a PS3 only for Devil May Cry 4, well I'd suggest waiting seriously or maybe (I can't believe I'm going to say this) buy a xbox 360. Since they have all the PS3 games minus very few. Or you could always just rent the console and the game for a week. It's not a very long game at all. Easily completed in a week :)

in honest opinion devil may cry 4 is not a game worth buying a whole new console for....nothing much has changed in terms of gameplay and nero adds in some new elements with his devil bringer and exceed. i reckon if u want dmc4 then wait till mgs4 comes out cos that i reckon is a game worth getting a ps3 for

yap that's what i think. I'm intending on holding on until final fantasy is out. I mean, there isn't many games in PS3 yet. and I don't think I have that much time and money to afford a PS3. I'm getting a PSP since crisis core is out already.

It will still look decent, you just won't get all the crisp details. I don't know on ps3 since Im 360 only, but I've seen people complain about text on SD tvs and I've seen pictures and they're horrible. Since Im on HD I don't get to complain :p. But honestly yeah he's right, DMC4 is not the game to choose to buy a console for. Look at it for future games since MGS4 will be the ps3s first big exclusive title.

It all depends on how concerned you are with the finer graphical details like starscreamx86 said it won't be as crisp but it will still look good. However only buy a PS3 if you're really into the PS3 games which are PS3 exclusive only such as Final Fantasy XIII or MGS4. If you're not into them then buy an Xbox360 it's cheaper and there's a better selection of games to play at the moment (including DMC4) and the graphics look just as good.
