An original drawing of my characters - Kai (boy) and Asuka (girl).

I had problems with shading and I'm still learning but all comments will be loved - negative/positive are all good feedback! :D

I guess I would try to work on contrast (different tones of gray) to differentiate between figures and background. you kind of have a "halo" effect around each element (the paler area between the characters and bg, for instance), so work on moving the graphite right up to the edges of the lines. Both of their torsos also seem kinda short. I suggest looking at some traditional anatomy books (aka realism) if you want to put that much effort into drawing. I like the sense of depth and the overall style:)
