It is a lot similar to detective conan solving crime but what is interesting is that you will be thoroughly explained how the trick was made and they are student in a popular detective school. It has also a twist in the story. :choke:

Ohh I loved this anime...but only watched up to about ep 25. It's really good for anyone who enjoys mystery, and find Detective Conan cases a little repetitive...

The story starts with these kids trying to get selected into the Dans Detective Academy, so immediately there's like tests and stuff. XD

Ohh and another really good mystery anime to watch is Spiral ~Suiri no Kizuna ^___^ *is addicted to mystery/crime anime*

Definitely one my fav so far. The way the solved the case and their deductions. COOL!!! RECOMMENDED!!! :)

Spiral are very interesting and exciting in the beginning but are getting boring in the middle and last... Detective Conan are too long, so i prefer to watch the movie than 493 episodes.... Detective Academy Q story are different than Detective Conan but it is same type of anime... I have been wondering whether will it be Second Season, cause the manga are so long...

Yes, defintely one I'd recommend to mystery/suspense buffs... The art may take a little getting used to for those spoiled by/used to amazingly bishie-bishojo (spl?) type manga/anime art... &, even so, it shouldn't be that big an issue.. since it is all secondary compared to the story/plot which you quickly get drawn into.

oh I like this one too! I really love the Jack the ripper case and Kyuu's deduction is really amazing...oh yeah I think there's already a live-action for this...

This is up there amongst the top five animes and no matter what I feel like watching it every single time they air it(I've seen it like five times already!) This anime is definitely good although it does leave you kinda disappointed at the end where they don't really finish the plot they started with one of the main characters. Still pretty cool and beyond brilliant the way the cases are made-up and solved.

Never seen Detective Conan so I can't give a proper comparison on that one.

Watching Detective Conan, watched Tantei Gakuen Q and just watched Files of Kindachi (the SP)

Although I find some of the story predictable, I enjoy the quick mystery.
I found Kindaichi and Conan similar but Tantei Q was different.

PS If anyone is interested, there was a live action Kindachi starring Kame (from Kattun) It was a live action of the Vampire Murder anime SP.
